INSA

INSA Strasbourg (National Institute of Applied Sciences of Strasbourg) is a school of engineering and architecture which originated back in 1875 and has been a member of the INSA Group since 2003. INSA Strasbourg welcomes over 2,000 students in the centre of Strasbourg and offers 8 full-time and block-release specialisation programs such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, plastics engineering, civil engineering and surverying engineering. Each year, about 330 engineers and 60 architects are being awarded a diploma from INSA Strasbourg.

Its professors and researchers conduct research activities in various research units (ICube, ICS, Amup). Its research activity in photonics takes place within ICube and focuses on ultrashort pulse power lasers, multimodal microscopy, and photogrammetry. INSA also leads the Labcom ANR LaserSurf, a joint laboratory run by ICube and the company IREPA LASER which focuses on surface functionalisation by laser.
